We are specialist in managing distributed teams: the best people from our different offices build your solution. However, our local experts and project managers are always involved directly with you to assure that international project coordination is our care and not yours.
To provide you with a better understanding, the following steps provide you a sense of how our projects are organized and controlled:
Intake | During the intake we determine your high level requirements and we assess for ourselves if we are the right partner to deal with the project. |
Requirements specification | One of our software architects will be assigned to be your technical project manager. He or she will assist you, preferably and if possible at your location, to determine the requirements of the project. |
Project initiation | The project initiation document provides the briefing for the project. It describes the functional requirements and project tasks and it also details client specific standards for communication (templates, frequency, etc.), project methodology (standard, RAD, extreme programming, etc.) and the requirements for the systems infrastructure (hardware and software to use, interfaces to establish, testing and deployment procedures). |
Project team set-up and collaboration | Based on the requirements the appropriate project team members are selected. During this step our client-specific online collaboration environment (extranet) is set up, where all Up2 and client team members will participate to share all project information such as documentation, task and issue tracking and where you can track the progress of your project on a day-to-day basis. |
Project communication | After initiation the development team will proceed with development and implementation of the software. The technical project manager will coordinate the project with you. In addition, we are strong advocates of continuous communication between all project participants for which we use a combination of widely adopted online telephony, chat, video conferencing and desktop sharing ready to show you the latest achievements or to discuss and visualize any matter that may arise. |
